Mediation Plus Board of Trustees

Barbara Molog Trustee of the Year

Our Board of Trustees are responsible for the strategic development and management of the organisation, ensuring that our charitable objectives are met and supporting the management team and mediators in ensuring the sustainability of our service.

Our Board is made up of volunteer mediators and those from outside our service with an interest in mediation. We are always interested in hearing from people with a variety of skills and backgrounds who could add further experience to our Board. If you would like to find out more about becoming a Trustee, please contact us. Our current Trustees are:

Caroline Adcock

Caroline Adcock - Trustee

Caroline has been a mediator with our service since 2007. She was a Practice Manager for over 20 years, was a Non Exectutive Director of East Sussex Health Authority, served 12 years as a Parish Councillor, and co-ordinated her Local Strategic Partnership for almost four years.

Apart from her work with Mediation Plus, Caroline also volunteers with her local Citizens Advice Bureau where she is an experienced advisor.

James Davison

James Davison - Trustee

James initially trained as a volunteer mediator with the service and joined our Board at our 2014 AGM. James became a convert to the benefits of mediation seeing in his first case the parties coming together in bitter enmity but parting with signs of mutual empathy, some laughter and positive forward plans.

James recently acquired a Bsc Hons in Psychology after a long career in finance and business management where he has been in charge of small and medium sized organisations ranging from 3 to 1500 employees.

Lee Whitmore

Lee Whitmore - Trustee

Lee joined our Board in 2014. He joined the Probation Service seven years ago to help reduce crime in the local community and to help those people who have made mistakes to live better lives. He now manages a team of Offender Managers across Surrey and Sussex.

Lee was born and raised in Eastbourne, his wife is a nurse in Eastbourne DGH and his sons go to school locally. He was drawn to the core values of mediation because the chime with his own belief that people can achieve more, be happier, and lead better lives if they talk to each other and understand each other better.

Barbara Molog

Barbara Molog - Chair

Barbara taught for 30 years in a number of London Secondary Schools in some of the most economically and socially deprived areas. She has also worked as a consultant and project manager on the development of training, qualifications and exams for a local education authority, the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA), SportsCoach UK, the British School of Motoring, Edexcel exam board, the RNIB, the marine industry, and the football Premier League.

She is currently a local Parish Councillor, Vice Chair of Stone Cross Windmill Trust and a representative Trustee of Pevensey Town Trust.

Wendy Shuttleworth

Wendy Shuttleworth - Trustee

Originally from Yorkshire, Wendy now lives in Eastbourne and has three teenage children. She is an accredited mediator with Mediation Plus and used to work as a counsellor both in the UK and Hong Kong and was on the management board of Resource in Hong Kong.

Before becoming a Trustee, Wendy has supported our central office team in Hailsham delivering our mediation services and training.
