Time2Talk Mediation Service for Eastbourne, Wealden and Lewes - Helping young People and their Families Help Themselves
Mediation Plus Time2Talk service offers mediation to young people and family members of different generations who are experiencing relationship difficulties. Mediation helps young people, their parents, grandparents or carers to:
- Talk and listen to each other
- Improve Communication
- Improve Understanding
- Resolve conflicts
On receiving a referral, our Time2Talk service manager will discuss the issues and arrange a visit from two of our trained mediators. They can offer:
Individual meetings - so that each person can speak freely about the difficulties and how these are affecting them.
Family meetings - mediators can bring family members together to discuss relationships and the changes needed to improve the situation. With mediators present, this can be a safe way of talking through issues.
Mediators will normally visit you at home, or can meet wherever you feel most comfortable. We can arrange daytime or early evening appointments. Mediators can make as many return visits as needed and all information is confidential and will not be passed on without your permission, subject to child safeguarding requirements.
Our service supports children and young people aged 9 to 19 and their families or carers. To read some case studies on the kind of issues we can help with, take a look at our Case Studies page.
This service is unable to assist couples experiencing relationship problems - please visit our Family Mediation page for other mediation options.
