Workplace Mediation Training (OCN London accredited):
This five day workplace mediation training course explores the fundamentals of mediating in the workplace and enables participants to develop their skills through a variety of engaging input, role play and coaching. Core elements of the programme include:
- Examine the values and principles of workplace mediation
- Understand the causes and consequences of workplace conflict
- Explore our personal response to conflict and how that impacts our role as mediator
- Consider the stages of the workplace mediation process
- Review and practise the key communication skills
Dealing with Conflict (Level 3):
Every day work situations can become confrontational when dealing with people, who are stressed, worried or have major concerns regarding their health, family or work. This training will promote an understanding of the triggers and responses to conflict and how these can be dealt with to avoid misunderstanding and negative outcomes.
The training offers an opportunity to explore the concept of conflict and understand how it affects people, especially in times of stress and worry, causing them to act in a 'difficult way'. You will explore the different communication styles that will help you to manage this behaviour and work towards a positive outcome. Participants will be encouraged to explore their own reactions to conflict and develop skills to support others in times of conflict.

Communication Skills (Level 3):
Become a more effective communicator. Learn to deal with difficult situations through understanding how to both listen effectively, and communicate positively through body language and the use of different communication styles.
The training offers an opportunity to explore your own communication roles and understand others. Participants will explore how to interpret body language and verbal and emotional content to avoid confrontation.
